RESIST MUCH — OBEY LITTLE

Unlike those who wear “punk” like a costume - mostly just collecting punk rock playlists - I guess I’ve got no choice but to file my personality under it. Not the fashion. The instinct.

I’ve always had an allergy to obedience and submissiveness. Hierarchies? Never really made sense to me - respect isn’t handed out by titles, it’s earned through action. And everything, absolutely everything, deserves to be questioned.

Questioning what’s going on these days doesn’t make you anything - or, damn, how I hate this label - a conspiracy theorist. Actually, questioning is, and should be, the place of reason. The fact that questioning has become almost taboo should send a chill down everyone’s spine.

If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention. So many people say they’re not interested in politics. How short-sighted is that? They might as well say: I’m not interested in my standard of living, my health, my rights, my freedom. If we want to keep any control over our world and our lives, we have to be interested in politics. And since our influence on it is, unfortunately, very limited, all that remains for me is civil disobedience.

Resist much. Obey little.

Not rebellion for noise or attention. Nothing performative. More like an internal reflex - a refusal to nod along just because it’s easier. I never trusted rules just because they’re called rules. If they make sense, fine. If not, they’re just authority dressed up in confidence.

“Resist much” is the active part. It’s staying alert when it would be easier to drift. It’s questioning what’s being fed to me, even when it’s wrapped in calm certainty. It’s choosing clarity over comfort, again and again.

“Obey little” is the restraint. I’m not interested in chaos for its own sake. I’m not here to burn everything down - only the parts that try to shrink people into shape, that demand compliance over thought.

And since I can’t exactly sell my skin, I painted this muse and pressed the words right onto her neck instead.

Resist much. Obey little. Very. Very. Very. importante, amigos.
